I light this candle, to remember those i've lost.
Those who suddenly vanished from my life.
Those who were important influences and inspirations,
The ones who left behind a wife.
One was someone I hardly knew,
but heard tons of stories about,
two who watched me grow,
watched this young woman spout.
It was only last year,
Another faded from Earth,
It was unexpected but then,
who expects a death, we usually expect a birth.
And so this candle will burn,
the light will flicker on the wall,
And the flame will continue to glow,
I'll see you soon. I'll see you all.
